What is “I”?

27 truth bombs to start 2023

When humans use the word, ‘I’ they are either referring to their body, mind or their individual consciousness.

When “God” uses the word, ‘I’ he is referring to the only reality — absolute consciousness.

So yes, when Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life”, he is right. When Krishna said, “I am Paramatma (the supreme Self)”, he’s right. They are both referring to the same thing, the only reality —  your true Self/highest Self/absolute consciousness.

The books like the bible and the Bhagavad Gita, are tools to help you connect with the only reality aka absolute consciousness in a human form with individual consciousness/soul. However, unless your heart is pure, your mind is clear and your soul is ready, you will not be able to understand these texts. This is why Jesus explained that he spoke in parables so that spiritual truths were only revealed to those who were ready. Likewise, Krishna spoke in poetic versus for the same reason. Read them with this new understanding and live the difference.

Chariot Analogy

  1. Passenger = true Self
  2. Charioteer = intellect
  3. Reins = mind
  4. 5 senses = 5 horses
  5. Body = chariot

The intellect is represented by Krishna the charioteer/God/absolute consciousness in the Bhagavad Gita. This awakens one’s true Self (conscious awakening) so that your true Self can take charge and give directions to the intellect which then focuses the mind on the only reality instead of giving up its power to the senses to control and manipulate the direction that the body follows. This is represented by Arjuna’s (individual consciousness) choice to follow Krishna’s (absolute consciousness) guidance in the Gita by handing over the reins (mind) to Krishna the charioteer (intellect).

So, unless your connection with the only reality (absolute consciousness) is established, you will be led by maya/ illusion and be brainwashed to believe that you are in control of your life. Without this connection, you will be led by ignorance either through your senses or your mind or your “lower” intelligence. This is backwards from the order of the “chariot analogy” provided above.

Wisdom is the intelligence, the ability to discern true knowledge from information/propaganda. Wisdom is only established through connection with absolute consciousness aka the only reality, your true Self.
